Strengthening Families for the Future
For Families with children aged 7 – 17
Come out and join us in this 11-week program for caring adults, children, and teens. It is a prevention program endorsed by CAMH (Centre for Addiction and Mental Health) that provides families with skills to enhance their communication and improve their relationships.
The program provides valuable tools by covering topics including communication skills, peer pressure, anger, and expectations.
This is an interactive program and families will be broken up into 4 groups – children (7-10), youth (11-14), teens (15-17), and caregivers – before coming back together as a family and working together on the skills learned and developed throughout the program.
Dates: January 28th 2023 – April 29th 2023 every Saturday from 12pm – 3pm for 11 weeks – Skipping Family Day Weekend, Easter Weekend, and March Break
Location: South East Ottawa Community Health Centre, 1355 Bank Street, #600.

For Teens aged 15– 17
Come out and show off your creativity!
A fun and exciting 6-week program for teens to experiment with capturing feelings and emotions through photography and reflection!
Dates: March 15th Wednesday at 9:00 am -4:00 pm

B.A.B.E.S.: Beginning Awareness and Basic Education Studies
(Children ages 5 to 8 and Parents or Guardians)
It is a prevention program that uses storytelling and interactive activities to cover substance use, addiction, peer pressure, and decision-making, at an age-appropriate level. Children will participate in activities and discussions while their caring adults participate in a parents group.
When: March 4th for 6 weeks between 10am-11:30am – Skipping the 18th for March Break and Easter Weekend in April
